Whole Food Nutrition
“Defy Disease!
Lose Weight!
Feel Great!
Look Younger!
and Yes…Live Longer!”
If you combine the powerful benefits of whole food nutrition with whole body fitness, you can achieve amazing results and experience that elusive whole body wellness!
However, as a result of our “Standard American Diet” (the SAD diet), our bodies are severely lacking in many of the vital nutrients they need to stay healthy. Much of our food has been adulterated with artificial additives, genetic modifications, colorings, sweeteners, and preservatives. This results in a poor vitamin, mineral and enzyme content.
The term “whole food nutrition” simply means that by eating more whole food – food in its purest state, and not subjected to the modifications I mentioned above – we will be providing our bodies with the proper nutrients it was designed to use as food. Whole foods are much more likely to protect us from disease than foods that have been processed and are missing some of their natural parts. My intention here is to show you the many benefits of including more whole foods – vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes – in your diet.
For you to get the most value from eating whole food, you must eat most of them raw. Our bodies require enzymes for every single reaction in the body, and unfortunately, when you cook food you destroy the food enzymes that are naturally present in all raw foods. If you eat a predominantly cooked foods diet, you are not getting enough enzymes. This means that your body will have to produce and use more of its own enzymes to digest and metabolize your foods. That’s not good because our bodies only come with a limited quantity of enzymes, and when it runs out, it can no longer digest food. It’s designed to get enzymes from the food you eat! That can only happen if we are getting whole food nutrition
Enzymes found in whole foods also help boost your body’s energy. If your body is having to divert it’s resources towards digestion, you will have less energy for other activities. When your body is trying to break down “dead” foods and figure out what to do with them, it will make feel more tired and lethargic.
What did I mean by “dead” foods in the last paragraph? Whole foods (raw foods) are also known as “living” foods because they carry an incredible amount of “life force” – the many inherent chemicals that exist in freshly harvested plant foods. Although science still knows little about how these phytochemicals and anti-oxidants may or may not affect the body’s health, it only makes sense to eat them in their purest form and reap the benefits of the whole food nutrition they provide.
Another wonderful benefit of eating whole food is that it becomes a lot easier to lose weight. First, since you’re getting more nutrients, your body won’t crave “dead” foods. Second, the enzymes help breakdown the foods you are eating and excess energy and fat stores in your body. And third, you feel more satisfied because whole foods are rich in water, which helps keep you hydrated as well.
Many of these reasons also help explain why whole food nutrition helps you look younger and your skin more beautiful. Enzymes, water, and high quality nutrients all play a role.
We could go on and on about the many powerful benefits of whole food nutrition, but the only way to truly understand them is to experience them for yourself. So why not take action today and begin to…
